Description
The Teaching Assistant will be responsible for following the direction of the classroom teacher and to assist teacher to plan, schedule and implement daily program activities appropriate to the developmental level of the assigned children. This position will collaborate with staff to foster a team environment that will enrich each student’s learning and potential.
Job Responsibilities:
Follow the direction of the classroom teacher and collaborate.
Assist teacher to plan, schedule and implement daily program activities appropriate to the developmental level of the assigned children.
Assist teacher in achieving instructional objectives by working with individual students or small groups
Provide care and protection for assigned children. Maintain a safe environment conducive to children's growth and development.
Supervise the children's activities by participating with children in group games
Help create a classroom environment of respect, motivation, high expectations, and a belief that all children can learn
To assist with the supervision of students during emergency drills, assemblies, recess periods, and lunch periods
High School diploma or equivalent
Ability to develop positive constructive relations with students, staff, and parents.
Experience in working with children.
