Role Description
S2RC is seeking a qualified and experienced Arc Flash & Electrical Safety Trainer to deliver high-impact, standards-compliant training across industrial and commercial sites throughout the United States. This individual will be responsible for conducting NFPA 70E training focused on Arc Flash hazard awareness, safe work practices, and incident energy mitigation. The ideal candidate must hold all required certifications and have extensive experience in both field safety and instructional delivery.
Key Responsibilities
· Deliver engaging, compliant Arc Flash and electrical safety training to technicians, electricians, engineers, and safety personnel at client facilities nationwide.
· Lead in-person and virtual sessions aligned with NFPA 70E , OSHA 1910 Subpart S , and OSHA 1926 Subpart K .
· Customize course content to address client-specific equipment, hazard levels, and operational risks.
· Use a variety of teaching tools including classroom instruction, hands-on demonstrations, case studies, and assessments.
· Maintain accurate training records, certification logs, and learner evaluations.
· Stay current with evolving standards and best practices in electrical safety.
· Provide technical guidance to clients on PPE selection, arc flash labeling, and energy mitigation.
· Collaborate with engineers or facility managers during onsite assessments and audits as needed.
Requirements
· Certified Electrical Safety Compliance Professional (CESCP) - NFPA or equivalent.
· OSHA Authorized Trainer (General Industry).
· Minimum 5 years of relevant field experience , with 2+ years as an instructor .
· Proficient in NFPA 70E , OSHA electrical safety regulations, and LOTO procedures.
· Experience training in industrial and commercial environments .
· Excellent presentation, communication, and documentation skills.
· Ability and willingness to travel extensively across the United States
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience or working knowledge of IEEE 1584 ( Guide for Performing Arc Flash Hazard Calculations ).
· Familiarity with arc flash modeling software (e.g., SKM, EasyPower, ETAP).
· Licensed Journeyman or Master Electrician.
· Experience conducting Arc Flash Risk Assessments or safety audits.
· CPR/First Aid Instructor Certification.
