We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Asbestos Field Technician / Sampling Specialist to join our growing environmental testing team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting on-site inspections and collecting samples for asbestos, mold and lead analysis in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. You will ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations while maintaining a high standard of professionalism and safety.

Responsibilities :

  • Conduct asbestos surveys at residential and commercial properties under the supervision of a Project Manager.
  • Identify and collect bulk samples of suspect materials following EPA/AHERA protocols.
  • Maintain strict chain-of-custody procedures for all samples.
  • Complete field documentation, sample logs, and basic condition assessments.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards (OSHA, EPA, state/local rules).
  • Communicate professionally with property owners, contractors, and team members.
  • Properly use personal protective equipment (PPE) and field testing tools.
  • Attend project-specific safety meetings and training as needed

Qualifications:

  • Asbestos Inspector certification (AHERA Building Inspector or state equivalent) required or ability to obtain.
  • 1+ year of field experience in asbestos or environmental sampling preferred, but willing to train the right candidate.
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record and reliable transportation.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently.
  • Comfortable working in various environments, including active construction sites and confined spaces.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
