Job Title: Project Controls Specialist

Employment Type: 1-year Contract

Position Summary:

The Project Controls Scheduling and Reporting team within the Project Controls – GO organization supports the Nuclear division by maintaining and innovating tools and reporting systems critical to project performance. We are seeking a highly skilled and self-motivated Reporting & Analytics Specialist to enhance existing tools, develop new analytics capabilities, and support project controls systems. This role requires strong technical expertise, a proactive mindset, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain advanced Power BI dashboards and reports to support project performance tracking.
• Build and manage complex Excel workbooks using Power Pivot , Power Query , and VBA for cost, schedule, and status reporting.
• Administer and provide user support for project controls tools such as Primavera P6 , WinEst , and SharePoint .
• Perform SQL-based data extraction and transformation to support reporting and analytics needs.
• Conduct root-cause analysis and troubleshoot issues across reporting platforms with limited direction.
• Collaborate with project teams to define reporting requirements and deliver automated, repeatable solutions.
• Identify and implement opportunities to optimize data workflows and improve reporting efficiency.

Required Qualifications:

• 5–10 years of experience in project controls reporting , business analytics , or a related field.
• Strong hands-on experience with Power BI , including data modeling and DAX .
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel , including Power Query , Power Pivot , and VBA scripting .
• Working knowledge of SQL for data querying and transformation.
• Familiarity with project controls tools such as Primavera P6 , WinEst , and SharePoint .

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience supporting project controls in nuclear energy , utilities , or other regulated industries .
• Understanding of project cost management , scheduling , and earned value management (EVM) principles.
• Experience working in a matrixed organization or across multiple stakeholder groups.
• Familiarity with version control systems and collaborative development environments.
